It's nice to see some lively discussions on MOPO...although I do miss those nuclear flame wars of yore. (As long as I wasn't at Ground Zero...)
Re/restorers; There was a fellow named Eugene Hughes who apparently got in over his head with work and ended up returning pieces very, very late or, in some cases, not at all. Eugene, who I have not heard from in years, apparently has moved on to other endeavors. He was actually a nice guy who, I think, took on too much work and just got stuck in neutral. I eventually got my pieces back, finished, from Mr. Hughes. It appears I was fortunate.
There's another very, very talented restorer in Oceanside, CA who was involved in some issues regarding a very desirable early Universal title. I've gotten to know him over the years and his work is astonishingly good. He's a very trusting, mild-mannered person who runs his business with his family, all of whom are remarkably talented artists. I don't think his involvement with the poster in question involved any dishonesty or malice aforethought on his part. His work for me has been reasonably priced, the turnaround time prompt, and I trust him absolutely.
Re/fees: I generally buy from Bruce, a seller from Bellingham, WA on EBay who has been selling some amazing linen backed posters lately, Heritage (their prices have been pretty reasonable lately, at least for the 50s horror/sci-fi stuff I like, even with the "F**k You Fees",a humorous term we use to describe sales tax, handling charges, etc.) And I just got a wonderful insert from Propstore in their recent auction for a very decent price. Thank you, Grey.
I just wanted to be a part of the discussion. I'll go back to the kid's table and continue to prepare for our move to Oregon now. I needed this distraction to keep from going bat shit crazy.

Don’t see Mopo becoming a grievance forum ..but I certainly would like to know if a Mopo member has had a bad experience with a particular buyer..remembering back but don’t remember names there was a poster restorer that many people mentioned to stay clear of..find that info very helpful

After all, collectors often post the names of bad dealers, but you almost never see the reverse, and you just posted.

Anyone else think it is a good idea (and can it be implemented somewhere like here, where mostly dealers post)?
