last minute reminder? Because I just looked over the current bid prices,
and I saw lots and lots of great comic books and signed items at
RIDICULOUSLY low prices! Think I am exaggerating? Currently, with under 7
hours until they close (as of this writing) there are an insane ONE HUNDRED
TWENTY ONE at just $1 to $10 and TWO HUNDRED FORTY EIGHT at just $1 to
$20!Now there is sure to be more bidding before these close, but you can
never tell which ones will get those bids! And remember that there are NO
25% or 26% buyers premiums (especially the dreadful $49 minimum ones), so
$1 is REALLY "$1", and you pay the actual cost of getting these to you, and
since most of these fit in standard flat packages, shipping is not very
significant on most of these.And with the exception of the very highest
priced ones, ALL the rest seem very reasonably priced to me, at the current
bid levels). If these stay at these prices, this is a time for absolute
"steals" on ultra-rarities, and how often does this happen with ANY
collectible?What makes both these auctions so special? NONE of the 203
comic books and related items are slabbed or graded, just like the ones we
auctioned in our previous comic book auctions! And we ALWAYS clearly
identify which of the comics have ANY restoration (the condition grade
always starts with either "The comic has had no restoration." OR "The comic
has had no restoration.")! And there is a great selection! Unless you have
been living under a rock, you likely know that vintage comic books are the
absolute hottest collectible there is right now, with LOTS of muti-million
dollar single comic books!It's true! The high end of the comic book hobby
is dominated by a company, CGC, that professional "slabs" and grades ALL
the highest selling comics, and many are being sold to Wall Street investor
types, the same kind of people who buy bitcoin and other "new age"
investments. OUR auction, on the other hand ONLY contains comic books that
have NOT been slabbed or graded (so they are not of interest to the
"investors" unless they are later slabbed!).And the 359 "personally signed"
items of all kinds include a TON of great ones! We have mostly quit
auctioning low value signed items, which is why this has a MUCH better
selection than our past ones. Yet in the case of vintage posters, lobby
cards, stills and books, MANY OF THESE SIGNED ITEMS ARE CURRENTLY UNDER
WHERE THAT SAME VINTAGE ITEM ORDINARILY SELLS FOR UNSIGNED, WHICH MAKE NO
