Hi, Dan.
I remember talking about Dejima, and the Dutch presence on Japanese soil.
So , this is the very bright author!;nice, probably i will have to read all
his work!;wich is not a problem.

My Daughter ordered the book from the library yesterday,so probably i will
have it this week?,or next.-

I also found out that it was an Aldous Huxley work that was made up
of six storylines, like cloud atlas is composed of six story's.
Huxley's book was called 'Little Archimedes', in the USA i believe, here it
was called 'Little Mexican'.I have no idea if there are further
intellectual derivates...
Apparently David Mitchell likes to use tongue in cheek also in his book
and hidden messages, like the title 'cloud atlas' for example.
In old Dutch the phrase was in use to denote the cloudy sky's that were
painted
by the old masters in late medieval periods.
Probably this is what triggered me to think about Ulyssus, from James Joyce,
That was a real decoy, and full of hidden content.very complex!
