In the MoQ, there are no Facts, only Values. Therefore, there are no "is's", only "oughts". That's it, end of story. Science works very well with "Facts" from the Inorganic and Biological areas, facts being only a convenient way to say "static patterns of value". The problem of science is that they confuse their "Facts" with more than Biological and Inorganic patterns. The problem has been trying to move into the social realm (let alone the Intellectual) with this concept of Fact. A Fact "is some way" rather than an "ought to be patterned some way". With their definition of Fact we get stereotyping of all kinds in the social realm, like racial profiling which leads to "blacks are criminals" (a particular problem in the US).
