Okay I'll explain it from the beginning. A debate was launched at the start of this
month to come up with ideas for the future of MF. Several people posted ideas and
commented that they DID have an interest in the group because MD doesn't meet all of
their requirements. Various points were expressed including (but not limited to):
- too much mail in MD
- too little time to participate
- too much noise
- a need for more tightly focused debates
- a need for a better system of choosing questions
- a different role for the moderator
in the meantime, you, or JOHN (the choirboy is blameless in all things people) jump
the gun and go speeding off with your own system, unexplained, undiscussed and
unagreed on with anyone else and which quite obviously doesn't solve any of the
concerns raised by those in MF (which is why I, and I presume others, are not
interested).
Whether there is one forum or two and how they are run is not my decision, but you
don't have to have an MBA to see that the current situation is a completely confusing.
It's ridiculous to simply go racing off with a new project before we've even finished
talking about what to do, let alone come to a conclusion. Obviously the solution,
whatever that may be, needs to be clarified amongst all parties; the website would
need to be updated so that the front end of MOQ.org corresponds to the back end and
new rules etc need to be put in place so that newbies know how to join in. I mean it's
blatantly obvious that there are things that need to be MANAGED if a focus group is to
be successful, and at the moment that seems, bizarrely, to have been thrown out the
window.

Yep and I'll bet you shit chocolate pudding too. For pete's sake, it's got nothing to
do with power, it's a question of COOPERATION. Why can't a group of people, who have
supposedly been enlightened by a superior philosophy get together and arrange an
intellectual debate? Or is it the case that a bunch of brats squealing at each other
like pigs in a pen is the pinnacle of achievement here?
