Dear all,

I am looking for advice on using tpsdig with large numbers of specimens.
I have used tpsdig for a few years, but only on small projects for
dissertations. Now for my PhD I have thousands (and thousands!) of
specimens.

So I am now looking for ways to increase the speed of processing all
these specimens.

I have been using tpsdig 2.16 and previous versions of tpsdig to record
outlines between fixed landmarks on teeth using the "draw background
curves" tool.

I then "Resample curve" for each curve "by length" to a standard number
of semi landmarks.

With sample sizes of 50-100 and only 4 sites going through each photo
and selecting each curve is slow but can be done in reasonable time.
With dozens of sites and sample sizes regularly over 100 going through
each photo is an obvious point that slows down processing!

Is there a way to resample each curve of all the specimens at once? For
example resample the 1st curve of all specimens to 15, the 2nd curve to
30 and so on.

or even a function that could be put into a macro in excel?

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

Ardern Hulme-Beaman
