-------- Original Message -------- Subject: 3D curve data Date: Wed, 22 Feb 2012 11:50:53 -0500 From: Claire Terhune <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Hello all- I’m looking for software (or an R script) that will slide semilandmarks along a 3D curve. I realize this has been a common question on Morphmet, but there doesn’t seem to be a consistent (or recent) answer. From the documentation for the EVAN Toolbox, it seems that this will be a feature added to a later version, although if I'm mistaken, please let me know. In case it helps, the data in question are anteroposterior and mediolateral curves along the mandibular and cranial articular surfaces of the temporomandibular joint. I can easily analyze the curves individually in 2D by rotating them to an XY plane and eliminating the Z coordinate, but I’d like to retain the relationship between the mediolateral and anteroposterior curves, rather than analyzing them separately in 2D. Does anyone have any suggestions for programs that would work for this dataset? I’m not particularly R savvy, but I’d be willing to try my hand at programming as well. Thanks in advance for your assistance! Claire _________________________________________________ Claire E.
