Jorg passed away in the night of Friday the 1st of May after a short and intensive battle with cancer. Jorg will not only be remembered for his brilliant mind or for founding mesopartner. Most of all, he was a rich inspiration and always striven to make economic development simpler and applicable. Jorg has left behind a great legacy to all of us and we will grievously miss his friendship and mentorship. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his mother Mrs. Inge Meyer, his sister Birte and daughter Lina. Our empathy also goes out to Jorg's longtime partner Ute Lutz who, over the last several months, gave him all emotional and physical support possible. Jörg verstarb in der Nacht vom Freitag des 1. Mai nach einem kurzen und intensiven Kampf mit dem Krebs. Jörg wird uns nicht nur als brillanter Geist und Mitbegründer der mesopartner in Erinnerung bleiben. Er war uns vor allem eine Quelle der Inspiration und immer bemüht die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung leicht verständlich und breit anwendbar zu gestalten. Jörg lässt ein großartiges Erbe zurück. Wir werden seine Freundschaft und Mentorenschaft schmerzlich missen. Unser besonders Beileid gilt seiner Mutter Inge Meyer, seiner Schwester Birte und seiner Tochter Lina.
