Subject: MANOVA using Procrustes distances
To: [email protected]

Hello all,

I would like to employ “Procrustes distances” computed in
tpsSmall to perform a MANCOVA or a MANOVA having superimposed my data
in the full shape space (option cos = ρ). I suppose that I could employ
both the “Procrustes distances” and the “Tangent distances” to perform
the above statistics. However, “Procrustes distances” should have some
advantages in comparison to “Tangent distances” using a permutational
approach as in adonis (vegan) or in DISTLM5. Choosing such an option, I
could upload Procrustes coordinates and directly compute the distance
matrix on them.
Is it correct ?

Thanks in advance,
Michele
