Subject: individual landmark configuration
dependent on sample size
To: [email protected]
Hi all,
I’m using Morphologika and some of the individual shape
configurations (the wireframes of actual specimens in my sample) seem to change
depending on how many other specimens I have in the sample. I expected the
specimens’ relative positions
to change within the PCA, but I thought individuals would stay the same, since
the same co-ordinates are going in in both cases. Has anyone else come across
this?
Left hand side = individual with 42 others in sample, right
hand side = individual with 18 others in sample.
Thanks,
Laura
