Hi, everyone, I wonder if a few folks might take a look at these and give
me a little advice (link to the image is below). I’ve been working with this for a while, experimenting
with various landmark locations and numbers, and while I’ve had some success,
I think it could work better. Essentially, I’m trying to ID landmarks
that can effectively distinguish
not only between something like the image at far left and the one at far right,
but possibly even the far right vs. middle. There’s additional variability among my sample, but these
are good specimens for reference (these are all to the same scale
here). The bases are all I’m interested in, because (as you can
see) many of these are incomplete. The bases – particularly the
projecting ears and the stems – are fairly diagnostic and range in form even
beyond this variability. The ears, for
example, may be rounded, pointed, or squared. I understand this is complex, but any suggestions at all
would be welcome! Thanks!
