Hi Katrina,
Let me try to help. The first thing to troubleshoot is landmark selection. Make sure landmarks are selected by “clicking-and-dragging”. Meaning that after locating the point you wish to digitize and pressing down on the right mouse button, you should “drag” your mouse until a selection rectangle appears. Then make sure your chosen point is in the center of the selection rectangle.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Erik

Subject: Landmarking surfaces in
geomorph
To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>
Hello,
We
are a group of students from Johns Hopkins that have been learning to use
geomorph, but have become a little stuck! We are looking for help with placing
3D landmarks on surface scans in geomorph. We can upload a surface scan .ply
file using the read.ply function. The specimen image appears in a separate
window and using the digit.fixed function we can place one landmark. However,
after we place the landmark and confirmed the subsequent prompt by geomorph
(that asks if I would like to keep the landmark I've chosen) the image
disappears and we are unable to continue placing landmarks. Has anyone else had
this problem? If so, were you able to fix it and how?
Any help on this would be much appreciated!
Best,
Katrina ([email protected])
