Hi,
I am a PhD student, I am new to geometric morphometrics.
I have samples of fish which were collected from several sites. I would
like to compare these samples, but I have a problem: individuals did not
have the same size and the same age. Is there a software that takes into
consideration these differences?

Hi Celena,
There is software that will convert the files to the correct format
for Morphoj. You can find it here:
http://flywings.org.uk/fileConverter_page.htm
Let me know if you have trouble using it.
Best Wishes,
Abby

Hi,
I'm new to geometric morphometrics and am currently trying to
use MorphoJ. I recorded landmarks into Excel using MicroScribe
Utility Software and saved my data as text files. However, when
I try create a new dataset, I get this error:
Problem with the text file: Line 1 contains less than two entries:
UT33-08D
Note: A frequent reason for this problem is that the file
contains delimiters other than commas or tab stops.
Errors occurred in the reading process.
The new dataset could not be created.
I've tried reformatting the text file in different ways but
nothing seems to work. It looks like it's not reading the
reference ID that I have on the first line.
This is an example of what my data looks like:
Inline image 1
I copied it from Excel and pasted it into Notepad and saved it
as a txt file, encoding ANSI. I've also tried saving it with
different encoding but that doesn't work.
How can I get MorphoJ to read the file without having to remove
the reference ID at the top of each dataset? Or will I need to
remove the reference ID in order for it to work?
Thank you,
CT
