Dear morphometricians I have recently uploaded the new version 1.06c of MorphoJ to the web page: http://www.flywings.org.uk/MorphoJ_page.htm
This release contains an addition to the procedure for principal component analysis. The output now contains some integration statistics in addition to the standard PCA outputs (variance of eigenvalues, variance of eigenvalues scaled by the total variance, and scaled to an interval between 0 and 1). For an example of the use of this kind of integration statistics, see Gómez, J. M., F. Perfectti, and C. P. Klingenberg. 2014. The role of pollinators in the evolution of corolla shape integration in a pollination-generalist plant clade. Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London B Biological Sciences 369:20130257. http://www.flywings.org.uk/PDF%20files/PhilTrRoySoc2014_Erysimum.pdf There are also a few bug fixes. The most noticeable concered importing data from TPS files. Importing data from TPS files containing records starting with LM=0 (no landmarks for an object) produced an erroneous record in the dataset. The new version of MorphoJ is issuing an error message and aborts the data import in this situation. Thanks to the participants of the Plant Morphometrics workshop in Els Hostalets de Pierola for alerting me to this bug. Best wishes, Chris *********************************** Christian Peter Klingenberg Faculty of Life Sciences University of Manchester Michael Smith Building Oxford Road Manchester M13 9PT United Kingdom Web site: http://www.flywings.org.uk E-mail: c...@manchester.ac.uk Phone: +44 161 2753899 Skype: chris_klingenberg *********************************** -- MORPHMET may be accessed via its webpage at http://www.morphometrics.org To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to morphmet+unsubscr...@morphometrics.org.
