Dear colleagues

A few days ago, a new review paper on studying fluctuating asymmetry with the methods of geometric morphometrics has appeared. It is not in a journal that is a standard outlet for morphometrics papers, so it may be useful to announce it here.

Klingenberg, C. P. 2015. Analyzing fluctuating asymmetry with geometric morphometrics: concepts, methods, and applications. Symmetry 7:843–934.

Official web link of the journal (warning -- the PDF file is rather huge):

While writing the paper, I've been deeply impressed and surprised by how much work in this area has been published in the last few years. Also, I've been pleased to see how many different labs all over the world are publishing work in this area. The field has grown very rapidly, but yet there is still much work to do. I thank all authors who have contributed to this burgeoning field (it made writing an exciting journey of discovery) and I apologize to those whose work I missed (not intentionally, but inevitably I must have missed some papers).

Best wishes,
Chris
