Zakia,

The "small" in tpsSmall does not refer to sample size, but to the amount of
variation in shape in a data set, in order to check if said variation is
small enough to allow performing statistical analyses of the data in the
linear tangent approximation of Kendall's shape space. I find tpsSmall
plots very helpful to check my data before performing more sophisticated
analyses (like relative warps).
