Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a method or program by which to "stitch" together 2D
landmarked photos of a specimen to create a 3D landmark configuration. For
example, if I have photos of a specimen from dorsal, ventral and lateral
views, and can place a few of the same landmarks on 2 of the 3 photos, is
it possible to combine them using the common landmarks? I'm working with
photos from various databases so I don't have access to the actual
specimens. I also won't have scale bars for all of them, but I assume
that's not critical since I'll be using Procrustes-based analyses to
compare shape.

I was hoping that by stitching them into a 3D object, I could deal with
slight differences in alignment of the specimens in the photos.

Thanks for any advice,

Christy
