Dear all

I have a couple of basic inquiries. I am investigating the patterns of
morphological integration/modularity among modern humans. My data were
obtained from 3D models reconstructed from CT scans and from a 3D
Microscribe digitizer. Then, It is possible to carry out analysis using 3D
data derived from different devices? in this case a 3D digitizer and 3D
models from CTs? There exist some problems if I want to combine both kinds
of 3D data? Second I plan to digitize landmarks/semilandmarks by module.
For instance, in a sample of 30 skulls I will digitize
landmarks/semilandmarks first in the face in all individuals, subsequently
in the vault and finally in the base. Is this a valid strategy? Or is
better digitizing all modules at once and then carry out a modularity
hypothesis test in some software? By the way, it is possible to set the
microscribe to digitize the three modules at once without change the
reference frame? or somebody have a suggestion/strategy of how digitize the
three modules mentioned using the microscribe without change the skull
position for each module?

Thanks so much in advance for any suggestion

Best
