I am a 7th grade teacher. I have a been using the strategies for years. I find that from Mosaic of Thought and Strategies that Work (my other favorite strategy reference) are applicable to all grades up to 8th and struggling high school students. Anything can be tuned up for older kids. i also believe in using the picture books for intermediate (6-8) both for reading and mentor texts for writing.
