I received my copy of Atwell's Reading Zone and although she does teach
older students (7th and 8th), she does mention 5th, 6th, and lower
elementary students. I've only read the first two chapters, so far.
Re: The Library Card -- yes, it's author Jerry Spinelli who wrote that book.
I just bought Spinelli's newest, _Eggs_, and can't wait to tear into it.

In the Zone would be good for my age group. Any ideas?
Also, someone recommended a read aloud book called The Library Card by Gary
Paulsen. I can't find one by that title by Paulson, but found one by Jerry
Spinelli. Is that the one you were talking about? It sounded really good.
