Our grade 5 teachers are about to launch book clubs, beginning with adventure in one class and fantasy in another. I am trying to help them design the unit by writing a string of teaching points with them. Any suggestions - ideas and/or resources. Thanks, Leslie In a message dated 1/8/2008 11:33:22 P.M. I agree with finding a book you love, however, I will list a couple I love... Keeping Quilt and most anything by Patricia Polacco Owen, Chysanthemum, and most of Kevin Henke's stuff. I did a lesson with a file folder that I read about on this list. If you search the archives you can probably spot it. If not, e-mail me and I can explain it.
