How about a taped excerpt from Survivor Man or Man Vs. World, both on the 
Discovery Channel.  My middle school sons  LOVE these series.  Essentially a 
guy in the middle of nowhere left to survive for about five days who talks to 
the camera about the choices he has to make to survive.  Grosses me out, more 
proof middle schoolers would like it, I guess.
