If coaching is not available in your district, the LC books are a nice helping hand. Can you Please tell me what LC Books mean? Thanks

Could you be more specific?

The 2008 Copyright of Corrective Reading is excellent. I like every change that was made, especially in Decoding B1 and Decoding C.

Reading Mastery Signature edition is the latest version of Reading Mastery. For those of you who know Reading Mastery, RMSE levels K and 1 are the same as Classic levels I & II. However, there are several more extra pieces available to help further individualize instruction. My favorite pieces are the Lesson Connection books and the Blackline Decodable stories (available for K and 1). The Lesson Connection corresponds to the lesson in the main series. Each lesson addresses the fab five components of literacy as they relate to the RM lesson. I used these books this summer when teaching summer school and found them to be very helpful. If coaching is not available in your district, the LC books are a nice helping hand.

Unless they have changed alot, they are very scripted. One was
designed for special ed and is now being used for intervention. I
would like to know what you think about the newer version.

I just got an e-mail from our principal. I will go to a
presentation from
an SRA rep next month who will be presenting 2 possible remediation
programs for students in grades 3-8. It will be a system-wide
remediation
program. The two programs are Reading Mastery and Corrective
Reading. I
know nothing about either of them (except what I read on SRA's
website).
I was hoping to hear pros and cons of people who have actually had
experience with them. I would also like to hear how they have been
implemented. Thanks in advance!
