Kathy,

Where do you teach? I teach in NJ and our core curriculum content standards
for language arts are changing next year. Much of the change is based upon
Mosaic of Thought. The elementary principals in my district are going to
several workshops. My principal has ordered a copy of the book plus 7 keys
to comprehension for book talks so the staff understands the philosophy. He
also ordered the Daily Five and the CAFÉ book for everyone for management of
the reading workshop. Alas, I'm not getting anything because I own all
these books plus many others. I teach first grade so Debbie Miller's Reading
with Meaning is one of my favorites.

Subject: [MOSAIC] Professional Library

Hello. I am a Reading Specialist in training and would like to begin
working on building my professional Library. I would love to have informed
opinions on what books are helpful to you personally, the teachers you work
with and the children you may provide services to. I have a few books to
start like Jim Trelease's Handbook for Reading Aloud and ARI assessment
book. I want to buy a few at a time so I am ready when I finish my studies
next year. Thanks for your help!
