Carrie When I teach elementary summer school, I try to focus intensely on three things...inferring, strategies for learning vocabulary, and a high volume of reading high interest literature. In my opinion, the ability to infer leads to so many other skills...like predicting outcomes, analyzing characters, cause and effect...etc etc etc. Jennifer In a message dated 5/18/2010 10:54:25 P.M. I am getting ready to teach 5th grade summer school. I am looking for any suggestions about short term, possibly intense instruction. Any ideas? _______________________________________________ Mosaic mailing list Mosaic@literacyworkshop.org To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org.
