Hi Sara,

The values mean are :
Score, 1-gram presision/2-gram presision/3-gram presision/4-gram presision(BP,
ratio, hyp_len, ref_len)
BP (brevity penalti) = min(1,n output words/n ref words)
ratio = n output words / n ref words

hyp_len = n output words
ref_len = n ref words

The good translation can refer to Score.

Regards,
Herry S

Hi again,

Well I found how to use the command but I cannot understand the results :

$ multi-bleu.perl essai.txt < transEssai.txt

BLEU = 4.92, 31.0/9.4/2.5/1.1 (BP=0.931, ratio=0.933, hyp_len=336, ref_len=360)

what does all these values mean ?? does mean I got a good translation ??

Regards, Sara.
