my advice:
1. uninstall the default boost libraries from the /usr/lib directory
2. compile boost yourself. The instructions can be found here:

Dear Sir,
While installing moses on ubuntu 12.04, I am facing following
challenges:
1) the system already had libboost 1.48 which is not compatible
with Moses Decoder, so even after installing libboost 1.46 or
1.54, it is not showing its location
*E:Package `libboost-all-dev' is not installed and no info is
available. *
2) And after executing the ./bjam -j4 command for moses Decoder,
it is giving failure notifications
