At the University of Edinburgh, I am hiring Research Associates
(postdocs). The following areas are particularly relevant, but
candidates will be considered in all areas of machine translation:
- Fast machine translation in Marian
- Low-resource translation
- Parallel corpus crawling
- Joint speech recognition and translation
- Patent translation

Depending on your interests and eligibility, you might be funded by:
- TRAIN@Ed, which is a combination of Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions,
the Edinburgh City Deal, and industry donations.
- https://browser.mt/ which is creating client side translation as a
Firefox extension; Edinburgh's work focuses on speed.
- https://paracrawl.eu/ in which we crawl the web for parallel data
- The IARPA MATERIAL program for low-resource text and speech translation.

Funding is available for 3 years.  The starting salary is £33,199-£39,609.

Deadline for the current call is 30 April but another position will soon
be open and due in early May.
