Hi:
Sorry to appear stupid, but this is second nature to a lot of you. Thanks
for bearing with me. After looking for quite a while I figured out the l in
-lva must be for lib.
Fedora 20, motion 3.4.0-Git-78ba2da, FFmpeg N-69160-g1013c15
Tried this:
INSTALL suggestion for Debian based systems
--with-ffmpeg-libs=" -lavformat -lswscale -lavcodec -lavutil -lfdk-aac
-lswresample -lm -lopus -lz -lva -lvpx -lx264 -lmp3lame -lbz2 -ldl
-lvorbisenc -lvorbis -ltheoraenc -ltheoradec "
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lfdk-aac
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lopus
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lva
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lvpx
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lx264
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmp3lame
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lbz2
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lvorbisenc
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lvorbis
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ltheoraenc
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ltheoradec
Took out the libs not found:
./configure --with-ffmpeg=/usr/local/lib --with-ffmpeg-headers=/opt/FFmpeg
--with-ffmpeg-libs=" -lavformat -lswscale -lavcodec -lavutil -lswresample
-lm -lz -ldl "
*Build complete, run "make install" to install Motion!*
libavcodec/ libavdevice/ libavfilter/ libavformat/ libavresample/
libavutil/
libpostproc/ libswresample/ libswscale/
The above are all in the FFmeg directory. I'm curious as to where are -lm
-lz -ldl?
Hopefully this helps somebody else.
Thanks,
Harlan

Hi,
I'm testing easycap capture device with analog camera.
V4L driver gives 720x576 interlaced frame at 25fps. If I set motion's
config "framerate 30" - all is good. But as soon as I specify 10 frames - I
experience picture corruptions. Sample screenshots from motion's stream:
"framerate 30" -
https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/15499/73339514.33/0_f06d6_97a8d169_orig.png
"framerate 10" -
https://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/16165/73339514.33/0_f06d7_aa47f2e9_orig.png
What may cause an issue here: is that V4L driver's bug or motion's? Anybody
knows how framerate option may affect V4L?
Thanks

Hi:
These were recorded a few hours apart, any ideas why the compiled version
is pixelated?
