Hello Laurent,

the best solution of course is booting the camera... out of the window and get
a better one.
If that is not an option, you can try 'despeckle eEdDl'. This should reduce
false detections a lot. But be aware that such noisy cams require lots of CPU
power to cope with it.

Hi,
I have so much noise on my camera that motion constantly detects movement.
I've already tried various options for noise_level as well as enabling /
disabling noise_tune, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.
Any idea what else I could try?
if it helps, this is an example of the video feed:

I've attached the mask and config files if it helps

Thanks.
It's a cheap one I use for testing.

I'll also try to add switchfilter on to see if that helps

Hi all,
I found this page: http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Motion/MacOSX
<http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Motion/MacOSX> with instructions.
but the page seems old (2005), refers to 3.2.4 and requires patching an old
version of ffmpeg. Is there a more up-to-date set of instructions or anyone who
has been able to install it on Yosemite or higher?

thanks

bye
Davide

Hi,

I get this message on a regular basis. I can't seem to find anything to
explain what this is and how to resolve. Is anybody able to assist?

Thanks
Laurent

To investigate we need more context
Can you please run motion with -d 7 param, reproduce the error and send
complete motion log?
