I use internal ffmpeg of motion Debian 9 and that motion 4.0-1
Like the closley same setting, depends on new config file in 4.2, i have no
probs in Debian 8 with motion 3.2. Run Stable.
But here, it brake between 1 or 3 minutes total shutdwon of motion. My
chkmotion script dectet only it not run, and put a error to my webview pape. A
red Alarm, not so god.
I check this Server also now by the Customer, and in my Home, same behaivor.
framrate 8
ffmpeg 400000
ffmpeg variable 60 (also by 0 )
no rotation, no brightness or such stuff. Streamport yes, 4 frames, and i use
lastsnap

I made a temporarly install of new Version in to debian 9
Compile the motion-release 4.1
/etc/default/motion to off again
ln -sf /etc/motion.conf /usr/local/etc/motion.conf
start it from /etc/rc.local ( /usr/local/bin/motion & )
And at a moment looks fine.
The rc.local is to make your self, just google how. Why the take rc.local
out????
I hate systemd :P Shure NSA is inside.
What now:
i wait a time, if you don't hear anything more from me, this works good
longtime.
And i wait on a 4.1 release in offizial repro of debian 9
