You wrote "4.3 is BROKEN", but if you really want to make sure the
version is broken or not, you have two options:
1. install 4.3.1 on your C2 (compile from sources or build deb package
https://github.com/Motion-Project/motion-packaging)
2. connect back the camera to XU4 and try to investigate "dmesg"
errors related to USB or uvcvideo
