Hi
I suspect you are running Ubuntu 20 or linux Mint 20.1, there is not a
deb for the focal release, so you will probably have to compile
I get exactly the same Gdeb errror on LM 20.1 , ubuntu 2o libs

If you get stuck compiling motion, I may be able build a focal amd64 deb
for you, I build them for another application.
I also suspect you will hit problems with glibc as this has been updated
on the ubuntu focal release, so downgrading packages
to get motion to load will no doubt cause problems with other
applications built for your current release.
