HDMI

Hi,
I have just built a Raspi with Motion V4.1.1 on Raspi OS. This connects
to an ONVIF / RTSP IP Camera from Golbong.
With this version of Motion RTSP works OK. Motion triggering works too,
I just need to tune it a bit, as it is running
on a P1 Model B+, I thought I would buy a P4 Model B to allow for maybe
adding a few more cameras if required.
I thought 4GB RAM would be OK.
The users of this system are somewhat older, and have no computer
skills, the IP Cam will be installed
in their Kestrel nesting box and they will look at the live feed via
HDMI output from the Raspi.
I need some suggestions about how to run this setup best.
I would like the Live stream from the Camera to be on the HDMI output at
all times,? is there any way of doing that with motion?
I was wondering if I can make use of the fact that the raspi has 2 HDMI
ports.?
Anyone doing something like this already?
the data would be

I have a more powerful machine ($135 intel nuc that seems to all be
sold out now) with 8gb at my mothers house running 4 cams. She is
around 80. A older laptop might be also be viable.
I have it displaying on the tv/hdmi screen via firefox going to the
motion port that shows all 4 cams. Firefox does take a bit of power.
Previously I had it on a really weak intel nuc with 4gb and it was
marginal as I had to tune down the fps, if there were fewer cams that
would one would have worked but with 4 it was pretty marginal. I had
to set a setting in firefox to get it to not confirm that you want to
send the website. I run x with a very basic xinitrc with no window
manager and the firefox process is what is holding X open. Other
than X and firefox nothing else is running on the display to minimize
cpu and memory requirements.
There are infra-red remotes that can control the mouse such that you
can click on one of the cams to get it full screen. It took a bit of
training but the system is working well.

Why not do this?:
Have a script at startup of X-window, start a mpv (or mplayer) for each
camera, with input being the rtsp stream.
If X is configured to use both hdmi connected monitors, the video
windows could be placed anywhere on them.
Don't need firefox in between the cam and the display, consuming cpu
resources.
