Hello,
I have been using motion for 2 years now, and it works very well thank you!
However, since a few months, the motion process stops suddenly and randomly
on my raspberry pi 3b+.
So I went to see the logs, and every time the process stops (every 2 weeks
or so), the last lines are the following:

understand...
Do you have any idea why motion crashes?

Is your motion available externally from the internet? If yes - close it
immediately, someone may be trying to exploit motion.
Update to 4.3.2 or latest 4.4 if you are not using Rpi camera on Raspian

Tosiara is probably more accurate that I am but with my RPi4 I found it
necessary to reboot it about every 10 days/2 weeks or so.? Added a cron
routine:?? 05 06 * * 3 sudo reboot? => reboot every Wednesday (3) at
6:05 a.m.? Obviously make the times and date convenient for you: I have
another routine which checks the cameras are on-line running every ten
minutes.? I also don't want the Pi to fail the reboot and not be up
overnight so why the 6 a.m. selection.

Yes it's opened on internet... I will update motion and see if the exploit
is still able to kill motion process.
Does the new motion version contain some security patches ? (Didn't see
that in the changelog)
