Would someone please tell me what determines the order in which the
cameras are displayed on the web interface? I figured it would be
camera_id but it isn't working. And it's not alphanumeric by camera_name
or by stream_port either.

Mine always displays by thread ID, meaning the order of the camera
files.? Although, everything is sequential, including the camera ID's,
so maybe it's coincidence.

In my experience it was the order the thread files are specified in the
motion.conf file.
I did rearrange the order of the threads and the cameras also rearranged in
the web interface.

My .conf files are in /etc/motion/conf.d so that suggests they would be
in alphanumeric order by file name but they are not.
