What did it for me was the camera_id numbering: lower number seemed to
be first.? Here have a Raspberry Pi running the 64-bit Bullseye and
Motion version? 4.4.0 with two cameras.? During initial configurations
the left-viewing camera came up on the right of my monitor and the
right-viewing on the left; the supposed to be on the left camera had a
higher camera_id number to swapped and now the left camera is on the left.
With the earlier 32-bit version I didn't have a 'camera_id' option
listed (may not have been there or I didn't know there was such an
option) and found plugging the 'first' camera into the upper USB2 port
/usually/ made it the first/left camera.
