Subject: [Motion-user] What does 'image_ring_resize: Resizing
pre_capture buffer to 1 items' mean?

Hi list members,
can one tell, what happens when I see these lines
~~~
Mar x xx:xx:xx motion motion: [1:ml1] [NTC] [ALL] image_ring_resize: Resizing
pre_capture buffer to 1 items
Mar x xx:xx:xx motion motion: [1:ml1] [NTC] [ALL] image_ring_resize: Resizing
pre_capture buffer to 10 items
~~~
in motion's log file?
And may be on more thing: I need to pre_capture about 3 seconds. The
documentation (https://motion-project.github.io/motion_config.html) states
~~~
pre_capture
- Type: Integer
- Range / Valid values: 0 - 100s
- Default: 0 (disabled)
Specifies the number of pre-captured (buffered) pictures from before motion was
detected that will be output at motion detection. [...]
~~~
What does this 's' in in 'Range / Valid values' mean? I would guess its
seconds. But in reality, this seems to be frames just like in post_capture.
When you write 'picture' in this context (pre_capture, post_capture), you mean
the frames of a video sequence, right?
Thanks!
