No joy. But hang on, changing:
??? stream_auth_method 2
to
??? stream_auth_method 1
makes a difference, and now I'm getting the stream with:
??? ffplay "https://userid:userpass@pi1:2121";
(where 2121 is the port I've used for the stream)
