Today, I found two Surf Scoters on Lake Bemidji in Beltrami County. They were easily seen in the a.m from the Paul Bunyan Bicycle Trail which runs along the east side of Lake Bemidji. They loosely associated with a flock of Bonaparte's Gulls and a goodly number of Common Loons. They were directly across from Diamond Point and were also visible from the west side of the Lake behind the Bemidji State campus.
