Today I took a quick jaunt over to Lake Osakis looking for a Clark's Grebe among the Westerns, but to no avail, so I checked out the Osakis Sewage Ponds. There was basically nothing for shorebirds, a couple of Spotteds and a few Killdeer, but when I checked the back pond there were 2 Red-necked Phalaropes swimming around. This is the place last year where there were over 100 at one point. Seems like a favored place for these guys, too bad I can't get them to fly a mile east to Todd County, but it's fun seeing them there again.
