This morning I found a kind of tired looking down in the dumps House = Wren at Beaver I. Trails--otherwise not much to remark. I'd hoped to = find orange-crowns--it's a good place for them--but no go. Mainly just = tons of w.t. sparrows, r.c.kinglets and yellow derriers. But it's a = wonderful place to walk and go birding. Was nice to find 3 hermit = thrushes at the new Plum Creek Reg. Park recently bought by St. Cloud, a = 100 acres on the west side of the Miss. R., stretching along the river = just a ways south of Beaver. I'll have more about this place in a day or = two and what's being done to try to keep it out of the hands of the = vehicle crowd. Am wondering about pine warblers--I haven't paid much attention to the = listserve--but I bet they might already be at Sand Dunnes SF. Anyone see = any yet out around there?
