At Lake Elmo Park this afternoon I saw my 1st Dark-eyed Juncos for the area this fall. And now they're posting frost alerts. I also had great looks at a WINTER WREN as it moved about a downed conifer branch. Sparrows included many White-throated, a Lincoln's and Song Sparrows. Lake Elmo Park is in Washington Cty, just north of Hwy 94 at the Cty 19 exit east of Saint Paul. I have had nice warbler waves this fall.
