Could it be an escaped Canary? I'm not sure of the leg color, but aren't = they all yellow and small? ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Linda Krueger=20 To: 'MN Ornithologist Union Listserve'=20 Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 6:25 PM Subject: [mou] Request for bird identification I was wondering if anyone could identify a bird for me. This bird = came to my crabapple tree in Hastings on May 12th. That was the only = day I saw him. He was a bright, vivid yellow with no other markings. = He had a broad orange beak with a tad of black at the tip and had orange = legs. I would guess his size to be slightly smaller than a Chickadee. = I'm not sure, but it appeared he may have had some downy feathers. =20 David Cahlander has put two photographs I took of this bird on the web = sites below if you would like to help me identify the bird. =20 http://www.cahlander.com/MysteryBird1.JPG =20 http://www.cahlander.com/MysteryBird2.JPG =20 =20 Thank you. =20 Linda Krueger Hastings, MN =20 =20 =20 ------=_NextPart_000_03CB_01C44287.FD21B780 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML xmlns:o =3D "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:st1 =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2737.800" name=3DGENERATOR><o:SmartTagType=20 namespaceuri=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"=20 name=3D"State"></o:SmartTagType><o:SmartTagType=20 namespaceuri=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"=20 name=3D"City"></o:SmartTagType><o:SmartTagType=20 namespaceuri=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"=20 name=3D"place"></o:SmartTagType> <STYLE>st1\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#ieooui) } </STYLE> <STYLE> <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {color:purple; text-decoration:underline;} span.EmailStyle17 {mso-style-type:personal-compose; font-family:Arial; color:windowtext;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> </STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY lang=3DEN-US id=3DMailContainerBody=20 style=3D"PADDING-LEFT: 10px; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; = COLOR: #000000; BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; PADDING-TOP: 15px; FONT-STYLE: = normal; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; = BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; TEXT-DECORATION: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: = none"=20 vLink=3Dpurple link=3Dblue leftMargin=3D0 topMargin=3D0 name=3D"Compose = message area"=20 acc_role=3D"text" CanvasTabStop=3D"true"><?xml:namespace prefix=3D"v" = /><?xml:namespace prefix=3D"o" /> <DIV> <DIV>Could it be an escaped Canary?
