Sorry for the late post.  I just noticed that I hadn't seen this posted yet...

Today (Friday) the DNR and Audubon Society will hold a press conference hosted 
at the Minnesota River Valley Wildlife Refuge
to announce the first eight Important Bird Areas (IBA's) in Minnesota.  The 
public is invited from 2pm to 4pm to the
Minnesota River Valley National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center located at 3815 
American Blvd. E, in Bloomington, to learn
more about this innovative new program aimed at conserving critical bird 
habitats.  Department of Natural Resources (DNR)
Director of the Division of Ecological Services, Lee Pfannmuller and the 
National Audubon Society President John Flicker
will make the announcements.  In addition the Raptor Center of the U of M will 
join in the celebration with a live raptor
presentation.
