For anyone proceeding up the north shore today.

I called a friend at the park this morning after Jim Lind's summary last
night for the Duluth report. I was told the Northern Hawk-owl was in the
Visitors' Center Parking Lot, on the lake side. At 8:45 the person
reporting the owl was still plowing, and the owl was perched on top a
tree nearby.

They had also found a dead Hawk-owl, thought it had been eaten by a pine
marten. So likely there have been 2 in the area.
