Black-backed Woodpecker - 11.6 miles north of Mississippi River bridge =
in Aitkin on C.R. 1 - working  tamaracks on the west side of the road.  =
Also in that area are pine grosbeaks, common redpolls & a brown creeper.
At the Rabey tree farm near milepost 186 along Hwy. 200 between Hill =
City & Jacobson:  a boreal chickadee, a flock of approximately 12 =
white-winged crossbills, several small flocks of pine siskins, a
=20
 northern shrike, & at least 20 golden-crowned kinglets.
Also seen: snow buntings, rough-legged hawks & bald eagle.
