the MRVAC Dakota County Prairie Birds field trip had seven participants and lots of good birds: 99 species, including 16 species of warblers and 12 species of shorebirds. Warbler numbers were strong with a good variety at Schaars Bluff and "trees dripping with warblers at Lake Byllesby. Shorebirds were found at 180th St. Marsh, where seven to eight birds of three species were found. Lake Byllessby is quickly loosing habitat as the water is rising for the summer boaters. Still twelve species were found, some with many birds.
