I was just asked by a South Dakota birder about Minnesota records for
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper. According to our online checklist, last updated
January, 2005, there are no state records for this species. Is this
correct?

There is symbolic as well as actual beauty in the migration of birds.
There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of
nature--the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the
winter.
