Today I found a Loggerhead Shrike in north (central?) St Louis County while traveling my usual route through the back roads around my house in Britt. It was perched in a dead tree on the east side of County Road #25, approximately 0.9 miles north of the intersection of #25 and County Rd #923. This section of #25 is a dirt road that begins off County Rd #22 in Angora. Time was 12:30 PM. There were also many Eastern Kingbirds out today--all perched on telephone wires alongside the roads.
